So I haven't posted on here in a long time, and I won't be ever again.  I just wanted to point anybody who cares to the only blog I will be using.  It can be found via my Facebook or directly at http://thelinedpaper.blogspot.com/

The Great Depression II

What is a recession?  While a recession can be defined differently depending on what economist you talk to, it is generally defined as a negative growth factor for two consecutive quarters.  The US Economy did grow by 1% in the first quarter, due to the credit crisis and the rapid inflation of commodities (food, oil and steel); many economists are claiming we are already in a recession.  I don’t want to point fingers only at Bush anymore (although I am), I do want to point out that McCain also thinks our economy is fine, although I wouldn’t take his word for it as he doesn’t even know how many houses he owns.  No matter what you define a recession as; our economy is already in a recession or on a downward spiral into one.  I did come up with a new theory today, and that is that Bush wants to recreate The Great Depression.  I think he views being President as a “SimCountry” type game and doesn’t realize he is assisting in ruining the lives of millions of actual people!  In other news, the Dow dropped 300 points in 10 minutes today and closed down 504.48 points (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/16/business/worldbusiness/16markets.html?hp).  I’m surprised he’s allowed to continue, but we only have 4 more months of him and then we should hopefully be in a much better place.  I say hopefully, because part of this getting to a better place relies on the general public no believing the lies strewn about by the Republicans about Obama.  I’m still surprised at how many people actually think he is part of some sort of Muslim conspiracy to take over our country.  I think he’s just the opposite; he wants to give our country back to us!  We need CHANGE, not more of the same thing!  Vote Obama!

EDIT: Actual points down corrected for the close of the stock market.  Please note that this is the largest decline since September 17, 2001; which is the day the market opened after the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Today's the big day!  Actually it might not even be the big day, as there is a large possibility that we will need the last remaining primaries to decide the winner.  I'm extremely nervous that things are this close.  I don't know what I'll do if Clinton becomes our nominee, I think I might cry.  We desperately need change.  We need to break free from the dictatorship we are currently under.  We need to restore the rights of the American people.  We need to leave the places we don't belong.  We need change.  I can't imagine how much worse the structure of our country might become if (Insert Republican name here) becomes President.  It does appear that McCain will get the Republican nomination.  Now all that needs to happen is for Obama to win the Democratic nomination.  While Clinton would put up a good fight, and still most likely win, we need the guaranteed win and that can only be done with Obama.  I am looking forward to this country becoming great again.  I have been embarrassed of the way our country has acted for the last eight years, and to the world, I want to apologize, as does much of the country.  This is not how things should have been, but now is the opportunity to correct the mistakes we have made.  I know he isn't perfect, but I do believe he will make a great President and can turn our country around from the downward spiral we are in.  Watch his Iowa victory speech below.  What an amazing speaker, and as I watch him and the great public speaker he is and I continue to wonder how the blubbering retard who currently holds the office was actually able to get elected.  Please get out and vote today if there is a primary in your state.  As long as you are making an educated vote, I'm not going to tell you who to vote for, just don't make a vote because it's who your parents or church want you to vote for.  Vote for who you think would make the best President.  I've already made my choice, now all I can do is sit back, watch and pray that our country doesn't get flushed down the toilet today.

A big win last night in Iowa for Senator Barack Obama!  We need change, and he is the only candidate I believe who is truly capable of bringing that significant of a change.  He is running as the candidate of the people, I can't wait to see how things turn out.  I've read so many editorials pretty much discounting the Republicans in this presidential race, and while it may be true they don't have much of a chance, I won't discount them yet, as they rigged an election once (possibly twice), what's to stop them from doing it again.  I am glad that a few states have started to de-certify the crappy e-voting machines, hopefully that helps, but only time will tell.  In case you did not have a chance to watch Obama's victory speech check it out at the link below.  He is an incredible speaker, and even if you don't agree with everything he stands for, he is smart, and capable and an amazing speaker.

I got to see Thrice on Sunday.  It was such an awesome show.  Too bad they weren't the headliner.  Brand New headlined.  We left before they even went on, along with about half of the crowd, right after Thrice was finished.  Such an awesome show, the only thing I can ever say about a show like that is that it didn't last near long enough.  I can't wait until they are in the area again, which should be Springish so at least I won't have to wait too long!  Hopefully they headline next time so we get a longer set.
